I see from all the posts that cars are off limits these days because of copyright infringement I assume to the car makers. But many people have car photos (recent I might add). It seems it is OK, as long as it is "editorial" As in -Chevy Camaro at 2nd annual blah blah Car Show-.

Is this right?

That is correct. But remember for it to be an editorial it must meet the standard of Shutterstock and be newsworthy as well as have the proper description of the image in place. You can find more about the description in Shutterbuzz.

It is not just cars, but extending to any vehicle, motorbikes, boats, aircraft!
