Ha, just kidding, I just need an opinion on whether to submit these flipped or not. I took these for a photo contest and I flipped them for that because it was an upside down challenge.

They may not even pass inspection anyway the lighting is more moody and directional and I usually don't shoot this way for stock. Not sure how shutterstock handles this type of lighting as I haven't submitted anything like this before.

So should I flip it or leave it the way it is?

BTW: I wish there was a separate location for those of us who are already contributors and just need a little help deciding between images. I sometimes have trouble deciding between similar poses and I wish there was a place to post things and get feedback on things like that without necessarily getting a critique.

Submit both in separate occasions and see what they have to say.

These were accepted today so they do accept uneven lighting when its appropriate, I guess.

don't really care for the flipped one. The hair going in the wrong direction hits me immediately.

Like em both...the top one looks like a great move, the bottom one like she's falling (that's why the hair is in the air) so they could each be used to illustrate something different.

If you want them both accepted though, I would take Semmickphotos suggestion and submit them at different times. Submitting them together runs the risk of the reviewer thinking that the end user can just flip the photo if they want to use it a different way (which they, of course, could). Submitting them with time inbetween might get them both accepted and if not, no big deal.

Cool shot regardless!

However you prefer to submit, I suggest cloning out this part. Very distracting.

Thanks for all of your replies. I tried to reply to this thread yesterday but for some reason it wouldn't let me. I think I will do as everyone suggested and submit them both at different times. Starting with the normal one. It will be fun to see which one is more popular. That is if they get accepted, and if they sell.

Oh, I like that one! I thought about doing something similar to disguise the floor on the flipped one. Do you use silver efex pro for you B&W processing? That is what I have used for the past year now and I love it. If so what tone did you use on it?

Thanks I have been working hard, fighting a little burn out right now. Trying to do some more creative stuff that isn't necessarily stock worthy, to get my head back into the game.
