anyone remember the latest total of the number of contributors? It was always listed on the front page but isn't there with the new layout.
just curious...

i think you are classed as a contributor as soon as you open a contributor account, so I bet there are loads whodid not get accepted and gave up. If there are 200,000 active contributors and 20,000,000 images the average port would only be 200 images.

And if the average port is 2,000 images large that would mean there are 10,000 steady and regular contributors, now if it were 3,000 images that would mean a whopping 6,666.666 repeating contributors. |

Microstock time site says 33,405 contributors, but I have not seen any contributors who signed up this year on the list. They are not 100% accurate but I believe they are close regarding active contributors. My statistics are accurate on the site

Yes that's an interesting site and I entered 334 (the middle) which happens to be the same point where people go from 99 to 100 images.
Simply put, over half the contributors have less than 100 images.
So we can debate the word active contributors? LOL I'm not going to go look at every one of those 16,500 people and see if they have 100 images since 2005 or since 2011. :-)
Anyone can pick their own number. Registered members all time (some 190,000 who never got one image online for whatever reason), people with accepted images 33,000+ or active which is probably 16,000?
Still a healthy group! |
