Couldnt change f-number. is my canon 5D MkII "broken&qu

Hi

Today and yesterday had the experience of nog being able to change f-number. I could still take shots but the exposure wasnt right of couse. It happened twice and after cleaning the contacts between the lens and the camera (the ones on the camera where the lens connects) it went back to working fine again. Its sounds like there would be dirt on the contacts but im paranoid and want to be sure. I hope someone here knows more than i do.

Use a pencil eraser to clean contacts. and try rebooting. Turn it off and pull out the battery for 60 secs and reinstall. after that. send it in.

Thx :)

But after just rubbing the contacts with my fingers it went back to normal again so it must be that. reason im asking is im a little worreied its about to give in but i hope its all cool

The problem is not necessary with your camera it could be your lens, try another lens & test.
