Very nice work! Got to love that Tamron right? :)
I could get extremely picky and pick on some VERY minor things that most would not even notice but overall really nice work. That is how food photography should be done.

Sure do! Between this and my 40mm F2.8 Macro, that's all i ever need for table top work as far as lenses go.
Thank you to everyone for the nice comments! I know you guys wouldn't say it unless it was really true.

I just wanted to know what everyone thought of this image of mine. Obviousely its already been approved, but im always looking on how to improve. |
Well you could always find a way to keep it safe from damage during shipping and then you could send it to me.

I find the glassware competes with the food, and the food looks sweaty, did you take it out od a refridgerator into a warm room?

This was one of those little things I mentioned in my post. Cupcakes or any type of frosted confection and refrigerators do not play nice together. Not only can you get the sweating problem the drier, cold air of the fridge will dry out the frosting very quickly. It will even start to crack and separate from the cake if left in too long. Just one of those pesky little details :)

I feel like making pictures of food is very much like a role of a sniper. Everything must be exactly right. Lighting, DOF, focus, Color, Focal Length (Perspective), the background, and i could go on with this for a long time. But when you get it right, they are amazing arn't they!? :)
P.S. on that same note, walking around "Snapping Pictures" is the pistol......... Lol

I am in Las Vegas now which has some amazing restaurants. I have been walking around getting all kinds of ideas on different ways I am thinking of shooting food.
There has to be something wrong with me. Most men when they are here are looking at all the beautiful women. Me, I am looking at different ways of shooting seared tuna, steaks and amazing desserts LOL
