Is it worth getting one of those 3D scanners in your opinion?

Well I don't have any thing at the moment in mind.
Might be good for some things like stock for example or making reference for personal uses.

I just saw an example of one of those scanners in an email the other day and I thought it was pretty interesting, which might be of some use in the future for what ever. I have had my current scanner which has served me well for many years but is starting to show its age. For one thing it only works on my old dino of a computer. ;)
