Hi.
But for a deformed human image that no longer corresponds to reality, is also the Model Released really necessary?
Thank.

Can't say without seeing the image. Is the human still alive? If so then I would say for certain that they would be able to identify themselves because of the image itself and so few people having the same problem.
If the person is deceased then could the next of kin recognize the person. Most probably so a release would be necessary unless it could be used as editorial in some manner.

They may not take it because of over filtering but seeing that it is you I would still send in a MR. Even if it wasn't because the person could still know it is them by the clothing and the situation of the image.

If it is you then submitting a MR is easy. Would you know it is you if you saw this photo, if so it needs a release.

I'm not sure I understand, but it seems that the model release is always necessary, even if the subject is not recognizable.
Indeed, the person in my example would be anybody.

Remember that it is not if someone else would recognize the person but rather the person in the shot if they would recognize themselves. It also does not have to be by physical looks it is also by the situation of the shot.
If someone did this shot of you and you looked at it, I can pretty much guarantee that you would know it is you by the clothes you wore, the pose etc. Also, seeing that it is you and there is no problem getting the release why even concern yourself with it? Just send in the release.

Mmm. I understand.
Even if the person is not recognized, could be understood by the memory of her situation. I had not thought about that.Difficult to prove but ... okay.
Thank you very much.

If there's a person in the image, you need a release. The only exception would be if it's an editorial image.

You think that a picture as my example is suitable as an editorial?

No because for Shutterstock an editorial image needs to be newsworthy. This one does not fall into that category.

Not problem, it was just an idea among others.
Thanks man.
