Wondering if you all might be of help with a tree identification. I don't have the photo done yet.
I know it's a rare type, at least in the Pacific Northwest. Here's the description.
Very tall tree, blooming in April. In April there are no leaves or needles, only bare branches. It blooms from these bare branches in spikes that grow up, in purple bell like flowers that are quite large, the blooms themselves look similar to foxgloves, but are larger. Any ideas?
I've NEVER seen this kind in my life.
