This illustration didn't pass the examination. Reason: «Your image is not in focus or focus is not located where we feel it works best».

I made this picture in 3ds Max and Vue. I think, all objects of the scene are in focus and accurately visible. What may be the problem?

Welcom any critique. Thank you.

If you used 3D SMAX did you mark the submission as an illustration, by ticking the illustration box, otherwise it wil be reviewed as a photograph which it is not.

It looks ok at the size shown but SS reviw at 100% so you need to open the image in something like photoshop and look at it at full size (100%). Take a crop from this less than 500px across (do not resize this), and post the crop here so that we can look at focus.

Thank you, Mike.

1. Yes, I marked the «illustration option» when I submited the picture.

2. I upload the crop picture in 100%.

Don't know about illustrations, but if this were a photo, the focus would be considered too soft.

Thank you, digigandalf.

The image is 5000 x 3443 px. If I reduce the size, can it help?

Yes, definitely. You have lots of room to downsize. That's nice work, and I would recommend not submitting too large images for the first ten, because the larger the image, the more imperfections one can find. The reviewers and buyers are used to more crispness.

yes it will help, I try to keep my images full size but occasionally I will have one that is borderline soft so I will reduce it's size and it seems to do the trick. You might post these to the illustration forum. I don't know if people here know enough about illustrations to give you good advice. We can only judge this like we would a photo and I don't know if the standards are the same.
