I subbed my ten images for QC and got the thumbs up yesterday, together with a link to my image page http://shutterstock.com/g/Andrew+Astbury
Empty and I haven't got any content according to the system.
So I come to the forum, see the general Popular/New tab remedy, go to someone elses images and change my default settings.
Still, my portfolio is empty.
Also, if I do a Contributor Search for myself apparently Shutterstock have not heard of me!
Is there anything I need to do, or do I just wait and pray that it gets sorted?
Thanks for reading. |

Hello Andy - I believe we've met on another site? Congratulations on being accepted at SS and every success for the future! :) |

Thanks Jane - it's Meirion Matthias who's persuaded me to come here to be honest; I've always had a bit of a downer on micro; but seeing as RM is soooooo slow I've now seen the error of my ways perhaps!
Still trying to get used to the uploader!
All the best Jane |

It's a fairly new uploader and yes, it does take some getting used to! You probably know this already, but you can save time by adding descriptions and keywords to your images in PS before you start uploading. Then all you have to do is choose the categories. |

Yes Jane! I do my first round of keywording on import via Lightroom, adding bulk words as they come off the CF card.
Then I add descriptions and keywords in PS - been doing it for years.
But because I'm coming from an RM library background my descriptions are often quite long and the 200 character max means I have to do some serious chopping!
Because I've been populating keywords before upload I hadn't noticed the keyword and word phrases that SS suggest if your keyword field is blank - only noticed it this morning - food for thought there as the suggestions might work better than my own keywords.
All the best

I am also a newbie here, but I just wanted to say that your pictures are absolutely amazing !! The white wolf in snow, and the eagle jumping out of water...wow ! Can I ask you what lens you use for the eagle ?

Hi PJ - the lens was a 200-400 f4 on a D3s.
Thanks for the kind words! |
