The one picture that I took that was acceptable was a coffee cup made out of coffee beans and this time I did the same sort of thing out of seashells. This time I tried letters. Would this picture be accepted?

Uneven lighting, top left corner bright, bottom right corner is darker.

Nice idea. I think the lighting is uneven and the shells need to pop out of the background more. They blend into the background as is stands now. Also the focus seems quite soft.

I dont think its soft. It seems to be in focus.
Maybe framed a bit tight.

I can try to fix those, but I was also concerned about its commercial value and the fact that the lines aren't very straight. Should I try to make stock like this in the future?

Upload it and see if it gets accepted. Every time you upload something you will learn a little about what will be accepted and what will not. After you have uploaded enough and viewed the results, you will know what will be acceptable and what will not. The only way to know for sure is to give it a try.

Mike, this is for the OP's first 10, so that puts a bit different spin on it.
I'd even out the lighting if you can and then hold it for after you make it in. Then, if it gets approved and sells, do variations (just not too similar).

I like the idea, but I would pull back a bit to leave a little more room around the letters, they are very close to the edges of the image.

the back ground grabs more attention then the product i feel. If not as a photographer, but as a web designer, i would prefer a light background and a more colorful or attractive bowl. :-) Some dressing at the top of the bowl contents would also a good idea.

Thank you. (And I tried putting a small bowl upside down, but it kept floating to the top, so I had to use beans instead. The blue background is fabric I bought at the store to match the bowl, but I didn't know that blue and food didn't mix well)
