I'm deeply sorry for your sudden and tragic loss. Reaching out is a very positive thing and will help fight off depression.
Like others here, I hope photography gives you comfort and provides a space where you can both stay grounded and still get lost in time, if that makes sense.
Take good care of yourself... |

Alita, I am so sorry to hear of your loss! My deepest sympathy.
There are several of our SS contributors in Nor Cal, I am in Hayward and West Point, either way only an hour or so from Sac, if you think it might help, and feel like hanging out with some other SS contributors on a photo shoot, just PM me, and I will let you know when and where we are shooting.
Karen is in Sac, Nick, Sergei and Christophe are in the Bay Area, Shane is in Carson City, Russ in Reno, there are many others, but these are the folks I shoot with more regularly. |

It's very hard for me now... but I'm glad I have this stock hobby. After I finish moving out from our place, back to my parents house for now, I'll start working more with my stock photos and keep uploading and uploading. And reading too, I have tons of photography books that I always wanted to get to, but never had the time... I know that this will help me a lot through all of this... My husband always supported me in this hobby... Every time we went on trips and vacations he would encourage me to take photos, made suggestions, gave me ideas, and inspired me in so many ways... He was very creative! We had so much fun together... I have thousands of unprocessed photos from our trips... which will probably be hard to work on, because almost each one was taken when we were together... He was a wonderful husband... I will miss him a lot...
So this is my story and my reality and I just wanted to share it with you guys, because I love this forum and although I did't participate much, I was always reading it. And I will probably spend much more time on this forum now and my portfolio will be growing rapidly once I settle down in my new place... |
Sad to hear of your loss.My condolences to you and your family. Your husband passed away on my birthday. May the Lord be with you and your family through this time. God Bless. |

My deep thought with you. When you reach out, you show your positive attitude fighting against depression and your hubby would be glad to see that. |

Excellent statement. Think about how proud he would be to see you remain positive. He helped you stay out of depression and he would hate it if you became depressed again. Stay positive and keep going. You're not allowed to let him down!! |

While I am sure you're tired of hearing it, my condolences for your loss.
Nice to have something you enjoy like photography to take your mind off. Was checking out your port, you have a nice collection of images there.
Keep shooting.

My sincerest condolences, although I am sure words are not enough. It's the sufferer who knows how it feels.
All I can say is, keep your chin up, hold tight and let the time pass and just pray for his soul. You will make it and you will go through it. |
