What's the best practices for color spaces on monitors for editing?

My monitor and color manager in PS is currently calibrated for sRGB but I have a new agency which wants me to submit in RGB for which I will be editing new files. Is it also possible to set up two different profiles? I'm using Datacolor Pro3. Thanks for replies.

It is not possible for monitors to display ARGB, monitors can only display sRGB, so don't worry about it, simply save in ARGB mode for that site and it will be fine.

Thanks, Jeff for clearing up the fog. That makes managing the PC much easier.

Laurin, a few agencies are nuts, all right. A few others requires me to submit my images on CD. Can they be taken seriously in today's age of IT?

One Corbis owned agency have a keyword submission engine that changes keywords because they will only accept keywords that is only in the database. So I got an image for 'Satay/ sate' changed to 'skewered dishes' because they are not geared up for anything except for food in English names.

I wonder what they will use in place for 'Wiener Schnitzer', 'Bouillabaise' or 'Gravlax.'

Quite a few high end monitors like LaCie, NEC and Eizo now display 98 to 100% of the ARGB colour space, so if you are prepared to spend the money then a higher colour fidelity workflow is a given.

sRGB is a tiny colourspace in comparison to ARGB, and a cameras built-in conversion algorithms are junk compared to a conversion done in Photoshop.

Shoot untagged RAW, process in ARGB 16bit, then archive. Do a temporary copy of the archive, convert to sRGB in Photoshop using a Relative Colourmetric method with Black-Point Conversion enabled then save as jpeg at max quality with Optimisation and Progressive turned OFF.

Thanks, Andrew for your input. I don't really see any point in investing in a high end monitor like Eizo unless I expand to MF. But I will not stop wishing... ;-)

Now let me see, do I want to spend $3000 on my next lens or on a monitor capable of 98% of aRGB, Hmmmmmmm
Just a perspective :-)

Tee Tee Tee! Oh how I wish... how I wish I could have my cake and eat it. So by now I trust you know how I feel about asking for a bank loan from the Minister of silly walks for a MF body and a 80mm Schneider-Kreuznach
