I'd be comfortable doing this, i don't want to ruin it! It may be past saving but im not sure! I'll email it over? My other laptop with the original RAW's gave its last breath of life yesterday and the techy guys were only able to rescue JPEG's from that folder :( Is that ok?
Thanks everyone for your help!

You can knock out some of the glare by duplicating the layer, selecting a flesh color from his hand and painting over the leg area. Then reduce the opacity of the layer to around 40-45%. On a small image here, it looks better. How that would look full size is problematic.

One option is to vingette to reduce the glare.

Here is my take on it, although I don't know if it would work full sized. I opened it camera raw and adjusted the recovery. It left a small blown area. I cloned over it with other parts of the leg. And then warmed everything up with filters and painted over the brightest parts of the leg with a flesh tone color at around 10% opacity until it looked more tan than white. Once I did this I was able to burn over it a bit and got this. Like I said not sure this is possible with a large photo and bigger area to fix.
