I want a new lense to replace canon 55-250 4; 5.6 IS which doesn't give me the quality i'm looking for.
I already have:
- 50mm
-70-200 2.8 (sigma) + teleconverter
-17-70 2.8 HSm Canon
Those i'm satisfied with.
I would like something longer than 70mm.
Was thinking Canon 85mm 1.8 or tamron 90mm 2.8 or Canon 100m 2.8 IS
What do you think? |

I'd look more towards the Macros. It would round out your collection and give you the ability to get up and personal to your subject. Just my thoughts. |

Hi,
I've got the Canon Macro 100mm/2.8 non IS, and it's absolutely great for macros AND portraits (and movies)! Tack sharp, professional and everything. Back when I bought it, I just didn't have the money for the IS version. If you've got it, go for IS!
The Tamron is quite popular here as well but is mainly mentioned for macro work. If and how well it's usable for anything else, I don't know.
Best regards,

Tamron is called the macro/Portrait 2.8. it's Probably the best macro I've used. I had all the Nikons. |
