Hi,

I read about submitting the model release. If I'm submitting a photo of my wife with my son; do I still need to furnish the model release? or if the photo is of some strange face on the street then what...? Can anybody confirm? Thanks.

yes you need a model release even if it is a photo of yourself. And if it is a photo of a stranger on the street you need a model release from that stranger or you can't submit it.

It doesn't matter: if a person can recognize himself, without a MR it is an issue, even if he is in a crowd.

Crowds can be uploaded as editorial only, with proper editorial caption.

Then you need a release for everyone.

If the person could recognize themselves then you need a release, and ask yourself if that was me would i know it was me? and most of the time the answer would be yes about 90% of the time.

Post the shots and lets see them.

Only time a crowd photo can get away with no MR and not editorial is if the all the people are far away and too small to recognize. (At 100%)

Agree with the other guys, and be thankful that SS does NOT like some other micro's require a DIFFERENT MR for every occasion that one shoots a model.
