I mean, why not? We occasionally find images being used and typically start a thread each time. Why not post 'em all in one thread?
I just found my basketball court in a Sports Illustrated book for kids, called "The Best of Everything Basketball Book"
Here's a link, scroll down to page 10.
My original:
EDIT: I just found that they also used the baseball field in the book, "The Best of Everything Baseball Book". I'll have to look for Hockey now ;) |

Cool Evan! Congrats!
I've just googled myself, not expecting to find anything but...
I HAVE AN IMAGE BEING USED BY A REALLY REAL WEBSITE AND IT'S GOT MY NAME ON IT AND EVERYTHING!!!!!
[/hyperventilation]
It's here: http://www.fastcodesign.com/1668896/what-if-we-visualized-political-positions-in-3-d-instead-of-left-and-right and they've used my background image in their header:
I'm so happy. I've never found anything of mine before. I've always assumed people buy it, do a mock up and tell the client "Don't worry, for the final image we'll use something less shoddy".
Right. That's enough happiness quotient filled for the year. I'm going back to being grumpy. |

Congrats Theo! I always felt kinda the same way, and it took me forever before I found my first image in use. Now I've managed to find quite a few, but mostly as small doo-dads on websites. Nothing like that huge header of yours! |

One more of the cartoon Map of London as a wallpaper in the kid's room! I like the outcome :) |

You found this in use on Spoonflower, did you put it up there yourself? If not, I'm not sure SS's license agreements work for print-on-demand sites, you may wish to find out who is selling this and if they bought a license. I'm pretty sure SS's licenses do not allow for print-on-demand use (unless its the artist's account).
EDIT: I see now, that is your account. Your stuff looks great on fabric, Anastasia! |

Is spoonflower really lucrative to pursue? Just wondering as I have an account there and haven't used it yet. |

SS does not allow POD's.
Hey forums are dead right now.
Maybe someone will find their Flange? |

I have many of my designs on Spoonflower and only once has anyone ever inquired about any of them, she said "I want to buy this," but it wasn't available for purchase because Spoonflower requires you to purchase a swatch of the fabric before they will offer it up for sale to the public ($5 each, that adds up). I did purchase the one the lady wanted, then she never purchased the fabric for her project. So, the only way you can make your designs "live" at Spoonflower is to buy it first, no thanks, I can't do that with all my designs.

Yeah it does seem a bit unrealistic to do that.
Thanks Stacey. |

I have a shop on Spoonflower with my mom.
I found out that if you participate in a weekly contest and get to the top10, then the design is available for sale without prior purchasing.
And then if you get the first place, you must have got a voucher, which lets you purchase up to 30 designs for free. (this is my guess about the voucher, I think I heard about it somewhere)
Also, after you have one design onpened for sale, and someone would like to buy another of your designs, you can simply "edit" the opened one, uploading "edited" version or simply another design. So it can work.
Although for me I can say I dont earn even 20$ there :(
And the cartoon map of london I found was used to represent their cotton fabric, that was real cool to find out:) |

Today I saw a poster for one of those "cash for gold" companies which had my Irish Postbox photograph on it. (I know it's mine because the postbox in question is some rare design of postbox)
I'm going to have to go back with my camera and get a picture.
*happy* |
