It is OOF the horizon is close to the middle of the frame and it would be better flipped with the road leading in from the left instead of the right and the whites of the clouds are blown.

The little CV the photo had is now completely gone in your version Barry. But thats just my opinion. Nothing left of the road, I dont like the flip either.

I would leave it as is and just crop a little off the top instead the bottom. The subject is country road, not cloudscape. Again, all just my opinion and gut feeling.

But I agree with you that its OOF, so all else is moot.

even though you have missed this completely, barrys flip is very right as we tend to read from left to right, at least I do and some folks I know also...lol..and that way the road leads the viewers eye to...and he start the problem....well, into the image...

Assuming everyone reads from left to right is a little provincial.

Your the one advocating there is no such thing as a rule of thirds... or any rule.

So she broke the none existing rule, for me its working.

And how is the road not leading into the image in the original version? Its the same difference, LOL

Calm down guys, This ain't anything goes LOL. I prefer barrys version But neither one works because #1 it's way OOF and #2 It's a "So What" kind of shot either way.
Candia, Your really gonna have to step it up here and start coming coming up with work that not anyone with a camera can do and your gonna REALLY have to look at your focus issues before even Posting. If you can't tell this is OOF, You have another issue altogether. OK?

Now get out there and think Out of the box. That is if you really want this and any chance to make some money.

Hope you don't mind but why is it better? Can it be that we think so because we live in countries where we drive on the right side of the road? Maybe someone from Australia or England would think differently? Just a thought.

No Noel, it is because as was previously stated, most languages one reads from left to right, so it is more natural for us to see images that lead the eye from the left to the right.

Both Arabic and Hebrew, and the non-Semitic languages using the Arabic or the Hebrew alphabet, such as Persian and Yiddish, are written from right to left (except for their numbers!). Urdu which is also derived from Arabic and Persian language and ancient indo - aryan language binti is written from right to left. Ancient Egyptian, Etruscan, Greek and the oldest Latin could be written in both directions.
Also Chinese and Japanese can be written right to left (also written from top to bottom, vertically).

There are 1.1 billion Chinese people, thats a big market.

So why does a photo need to be positioned for left-right readers and not for right-left readers?

Should we submit both versions then to increase sales?
