It is actualy a big problem for me.
People are suspicious and distrustful here, especially senior persons. Most can not read the text of the release.
Almost no one wants to include his address (suspect that I want to take away their property).
Some are afraid to tell their last name.
Have you any tips to solve this problem?

You need to get a good understanding of why a Model Release is needed and what it legally binds. And then explain that to your relatives. Its law, its a legal requirement. People are afraid of what they dont know. Take that ignorance away and they will most likely sign the documents.

You can also google for a document in your language and show them that so that they understand whats on the English version.

Thanks :)
Despite the fact that required language is not Russian, thanks anyway :)

The roots of the problem in a high level of fraud here, and weak legal protection of people. And the TV is repeating every day: "Do not sign any documents without legal advice!"

No, the MR you let them sign has to be in English, but you can show them the Russian one so they can read it. And then you tell them the English one is the same as the Russian one.

The document is to protect you from legal action against you. Its to prevent fraud.

Explain that to them.

Thanks, I know that MR has to be in English :)
I mean that they need other than Russian text to be able to read. I live in not very good, but yet Western, Europe :)
I'll try MR to translate into local language.

By the way, I was in Russia a month ago, made some photos with people, sold 2 of them already, and have no one trouble with MR. People shrug their shoulders, but sign without any extra questions.

Aaaah, Sorry, I thought you were Russian because of your editorial photos.

Ok, where are you from? Let me know and I will get the MR in your language.

She will not tell you since in her country the tv says to not give your personal info to anyone. :-)
