My June 30, 2012, payment was not received, and my Shutterstock account is setup properly for PayPal and PayPal is available to receive money (two other payers have recently issued payment to the same PayPal account). I have submitted four "tickets," called Shutterstock, and sent two follow-up emails, but NO ONE has resolved this problem or contacted me in an attempt to resolve the problem or provide a status. I am due a large sum of money, and am completely frustrated by Shutterstock's unprofessionalism and lack of responsiveness.

I regret that I feel forced to post such a message in the forum, but at this point, I don't know what else to do. Please contact me immediately. My contact information is available in the various tickets and emails that I have submitted/sent. Thank you.

What e-mail address did you use when you sent your inquiries? Submit@shutterstock.com seems to be the e-mail address for contributor issues. Any other address seems to suffer from a severe lack of response.

Try e-mailing that address and re-post this in the General Shutterstock discussion area at the very top of the forum list. There have been other payment issues posted there that did attract the attention of the Forum Guru moderator although I haven't seen them around lately. There have been other moderators there so you might have a better chance of getting your post seen and getting a response.

If you go to the general forum, there are a few post from Moderator. Anthony Corriea head of content operations uses this. I would pm him with your problem clearly stating your earnings for themonth etc.

Thank you both for your comments and tips. Everything is setup properly in Shutterstock and PayPal (including email addresses, payout amounts, etc.)

By early afternoon following my original posting in the forum and another ticket and email, I received a response from Shutterstock. I was requested to confirm proper setups (which I had previously been asked to do on July 18--and completed and responded on July 18). Regardless, I at least heard from someone. I've answered their questions again and also contacted PayPal who advised they did not receive a payment--or a payment attempt.

I am trusting that Shutterstock will not allow this to continue now that I've finally received a response from Shutterstock over 22 days after my first request for help (for a June 30 payment). I will post the final outcome when it is achieved. If I don't hear from them again in a day or two, I will follow your advice to post this in General Forum.

I also posted my issue the other day in two other forums. I heard from a few people, and I'm grateful to hear this isn't a widespread problem (although now I wonder given your comments), but I am greatly disappointed in the lack of responsiveness, troubleshooting, and problem solving. Problems happen; I can deal with that--but I expect prompt and professional responsive and resolution when a problem does occur.

Thanks again!

i sent several emails to shutterstock to do something, because the money was sent back, i am sure, and they do nothing. almost a dozen of emails, for 2 months now, no reply, no nothing! this is a serious matter.

I'm sorry about your situation. As of today, I still have not received a response or my money from Shutterstock for a June 30, 2012 payment.

Contributor e-mails should go to submit@shutterstock.com in order to get a response. If you've been sending to support@shutterstock.com that if for buyers and you won't get a response. Make sure you've sent to the right e-mail and resend your e-mails if you've sent to the "support" instead of "submit" address.

Dear Traxlergirl,

A Content Operations staff member has already emailed you today, but I wanted to post here to make sure that all of your concerns are abated properly.

Background
Your PayPal payout was (originally) denied for reason code 3015. When searching on PayPal for an explanation of this code's meaning, I understand that the email on file with PayPal is invalid. The link I used to verify the code's meaning is here: https://www.paypal-community.com/t5/Sending-money/MassPay-failed-with-numeric-reason-code/m-p/143217#M3305

Confirm PayPal Account
Back in mid-July, after your initial email to us, we had replied to you to request that you confirm that your PayPal account was, indeed, active. You replied saying that it was, but we would like for you to provide us with written proof that your PayPal account is active and ready to receive payments. (This could be an email from PayPal to you acknowledging that the account is active.) Once you send us this information, we will reschedule your payout immediately. Our next payout cycle is scheduled for early September so, get this confirmation to us right away.

Should you have any questions, email me (acorreia@shutterstock.com) or Submit Support at submit@shutterstock.com

Sincerely,
Anthony Correia

I seem to have the same issue as described above.

I registered new PayPal account in several days before a payment date, but missed to activate it.
So my payment is marked as sent by July 31st, but the money did not arrive to PayPal account.

I noticed that my PayPal account is not activated a couple of days ago, and I activated the account. But I assume that my payout was returned to Shutterstock and should be reprocessed, shouldn't it?

Thanks in advance.

If you do not have an active account where the money can be placed you are not going to get your money. I would let Shutterstock know that you have now activated your account, and make sure that the Paypal email address is correct in your account settings. If this is done by the end of the month when they compute your earnings then it should go through. If it is not done in time then you will have to wait most likely till the next outgoing payments at the end of Sept.

That's what I did a couple of days ago. I had sent a message to Shutterstock via standard web-based form, but nobody replied. :(
I hope that a message here on the forum would be noticed by someone from Shutterstock. :)

To make sure they get the information you should send it to submit@shutterstock.com That is the email for issues dealing with contributors.

Well. I did that.
My first mail was even responded - bla-bla-bla, forwarded your case to the payment department, wait until 6 weeks since payment date etc. But further mails were never responded. So, another month passed with no response, I have no idea why.
I could summarize for myself that Shutterstock is a fraud and forget that such agency exists. But my friends never had such issues so I hope that this issue will be solved sooner or earlier.
Hope someone from Shutterstock would read this and drop me a mail...
