I'm averaging just over 11 submissions/week, over 18 weeks. About 6/wk accepted.

In my opinion, I think the quantity doesn't matter. The quality is much more important.

I prefer to ask how many downloads we have per day versus the number of images.

Between 15 and 35 (with peaks of 40-50 downloads ) per day, for 92 images. And I upload an average of 4 per week (I wish I could upload more).

How do you come up with ideas for that many every day?

I've been uploading for about 40 weeks and have 867 images online - so thats what ... about 21-22 images per week on average.

A few weeks back after some prolific photo outings I uploaded and had approved 70 images in a one week period, but thats rare for me.

BTW - I don't sleep - JK.

between 50-55 but everything I upload are illustrations, so takes a bit more time and a lot of hair pulling to keep coming up with ideas!

I try to upload +20 every week. But then there are rejections.
Ideas?... i go for species of butterflies so every species is a series of ideas: portrait, upperside, underside, envionment.

And then there are the impulsive idears, concepts that i often build up just before I fall asleep.
Like... warmonger, a swastica made of rifle ammunition (far out, I know). Then... sometimes I actually do them, but most often forget.

Many of my shots acctually pop up rather spontaniously: My eyes are simply always scanning for possible motives, and HEY... There is one for Shutterstock...a clean shot of something that can be keyworded.

But rejections (arrgh!) spoil my masterplan and force me back into butterflies. So planning your shots is surely quite a good thing.

Hahahaha... we are still editing things we shot last year... I think we will have more things to edit than time to do it in for the next ten years!
