It's SOOOOOOO fun working with models, isn't it?! I just got off the phone with the girl that works with my husband that wants to model and set up a session and I'm soooooo 'cited. I told some friends and asked the question, Will this ever get old? I DON'T THINK SO! :D

What kind of lighting did you use? The light seems to be very even, maybe even too even, not enough shadow, if you know what I mean?

Lighting is one of the things I struggle with most with people shots. That's why I'm focusing on that.

Oh, and I LOVE the make-up! It had to be a really fun day! :)

The first composition rule is never put anything behind a model that is vertical and comes out of her head or throw it way out of focus. I also dont get the makeup concept. Good for your first time.

Yeah, the deal was put on by a makeup company. This one was conservative compared to others.

Didn't catch the pole out of the head. Jeez, wait to we get to the carousel - yes - I got her on a horse in that dress.

Oh, and the lighting was in a mall, no extra light. Some natural indirect light through a skylight.

Models definitely fun to work with, but man, you guys work to hard LOL. Four hours and I was exhausted.

More to come. Thanks

With that make-up, post her images about two months before Halloween. That ought to generate some interest. LOL

I like that 100% better. There's some snap to it.

Yeah, still inside the mall but better lighting. I'm glad you saw the other one first anyway - she had a pole in her head in this shot too. Probably why she was screaming LOL.

If all models are as pleasant to work with as this one, I can understand the attraction. Every time she heard the shutter click, I got a different pose, different look. And when I ran out of ideas, she had some.

Thanks for looking

I like the second one too - it almost looks like there's a reason for the makeup. Like the colours.

But I gotta ask...what kind of makeup company wants to be known for makeup that looks like that?

The application of it looks good, but um, it's not exactly what most women would wear out :D

Uh, well...I might consider if it hides the wrinkles :) When they come up with one that hides fat I'll definitely buy it.

One other thing - looks like she was out in the sun - she has white armpits and you can see the tan lines. Need a little PS work on that, otherwise you can try body makeup next time to hide that some.

I know quite a lot of men who'd buy that, too. Including me. ;-)

Yeah, I was happy with the colors of the carousel and her makeup. Wasn't so lucky with my second model. Trust me, this one was conservative. Some had feathers stuck to the corners of the eyes or tiger stripes. I told them they should all go to Target and go shopping after the shoot.

Don't know what the cosmetic company was trying to do, but the rep showed me shots they had done on locations around the country, and they all looked like this.

It was a fun exhausting day. I learned a lot and learned more about what I don't know. Much more of that and it would be hard to go back to shooting houses and buidlings, but damn it - they don't move around.

Fired off 700 frames in 5 hours. Quickly went to 300 and now down to about 75. Don't know if any of it is stock, but I'll find that out soon.
