I must disagree here. Some people are born artists. Take Mozart for instance.

Come on. Take the positive message. We're all learning here :-)

It's nice to know when youre doing something that at some point others have been through the same experience and maybe found it challenging and rewarding :-)

There are some born with natural abilities and I'm always in awe of their talents. I'm just as in awe of those who through diligence and hard work reach the same pinnacle, maybe more so.

Nobody is born good at anything. Some just develop faster that's all.

Development is quickened by experience. Experience is not time dependent but is exposure dependent.

In other words, anyone could be a success in stock or microstrock but there are a few conditions..

1. You must want to make a success.

2. You must be interested and enjoy whatever it is you want to make a success of.

3. You have to be actively involved to get experience(i.e. gain as much exposure to the activity as possible.)

4. You must put in lots of time and effort.

5. You must be prepared to take risks.

In other words, if you want something you simply have to get up off your bum and go for it. Maybe taking a few risks along the way.

So I agree with Sean on this one.

Even Mozart, Beethoven (who composed his first piece at 5) plus countless other artists, musician, photographers etc. were born with no knowledge or ability. They simply had, were provided with or found opportunities to help them develop.

Actually I disagree with you. I would prefer lamb...

As for mozart and stock images:
While they did have digital slr's in mozarts time, the internet had not been invented and all digital stock had to be stored on iomega zip disks that were taken by african swallows to clients. I remember when Shutterstock operated around that time we were all paid in beans :-)

the only thing people are born with is an ability to scream, eat and crap,,everything else comes later.
Its something we call factual and science and not fantasy,being born with great abilities is stuff of superhero comics

Only one superhero was born with his abilities and that was Superman (which technically wasn't human)

The rest almost always got their abilities through some accident... and then came the X-men and everything changed....

Hmmmm... chicken.

It seems a fundamental point has been missed here ;-)

When Homer says 'Hmmm chicken', there really is no implication that he prefers the taste of one particular animal over than another or that he prefers the taste of animals over other types of food.

He has on occassion made similar profound statements with reference to hot dogs, doughnuts, beer, cookies and many other items of food.

After much research into the physical, psycholigical and social aspects of Homer, it seems that his needs are fairly basic. One might say that on the road to self actualisation, he is still somewehere near the bottom of Maslow's hierarchy of needs.

Cognitive development is some way off for Homer and he seems quite happy, for the moment at least to fulfill only his basic physiological needs.

Of course, his needs in terms of sociological and psychological development would accelerate rapidly if we were to remove the crayon from up his nose. (if anyone saw that episode) ;-)
