Stagger the uploads. You can use the jpeg's to revive a slow sales period.

In theory, this is a good idea. My problem is that it adds another level of complexity to an already complicated process (i.e. submitting vectors): I can never remember if I have submitted the jpg or not, and have to keep records or go back and check Stats to see if the jpg is pending or in my gallery.

In the SS old days (a few months ago), the staggering used to happen automatically, because vectors were reviewed almost immediately while jpgs took a few days longer. Now the situation is reversed, and jpg are appear in my gallery first.

frozenpeas is right, I think. It was better for sales back when the vectors were reviewed first. The jpg was like an advertisement for the vectors.

Call me Rob its fine :)
Yes vector review times do take a while longer nowadays.
What I do:
1. Create folders AI, EPS, JPEG Preview, JPEG Large
2. Inside JPEG Large create folder called July Revive, August Revive etc
3. Upload EPS and JPEG preview whenever
4. Around 10-15th Month upload some July Revive. Around the end of the month upload the remaining July Revive files

I prefer the Vector to go up before the JPEG.

Rob,
I admire your capacity for organization, and thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, the fact that 4 steps are involved means that your system will probably not be implemented by unorganized lazy people, in this case me.

Out of sheer curiousity, how much do you think the pay-off is? What kind of bump in dls do you get when the jpgs appear?

Now, I'm not that organised to know what difference all this makes :)
Working from gut instinct though I just know it works for me. Not all the time. As usual, it really depends on what the image is of and if the buyer wants that type of image at that particular time.

Worth trying it though.
