Sell it once for $500 or 60 times for $20 and 800 times for 30 cents, hmmm what do I do ;) |
With the sum of the sales in all sites, this image gave me already a handfull of hundreds of $. In Alamy I'm still waiting for the first sale for months. So I'm ok ;-) |

Is there a way of uploading an image without having to downsize it, as anything over 1MP is considered too big? Paul how did you manage to link from the thumbnail?

Very great feature... Waiting invite too ;-)
I wonder would they charge for services when they go up from beta version? |

I couldn't find a way to upload images without resizing, but here's a very easy way to resize multiple images at once. Install this (windows os) http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/digitalphotography/learnmore/tips/eschelman2.mspx
Then you can right-click files in windows explorer and choose "resize image".
Make sure you work with copies, not your originals! |

The easiest way to find your images is to use the plugin. Then you can simply go through your online gallery "Right Click" and select "Search for Image on TinEye" .... Simple and you don't have to upload anything.
You need to be running Firefox, then go to http://tineye.com/plugin and install the plugin
if you don't have firefox already then why not download it via the button here http://www.lazortech.com/get-firefox.html and I will get a small commission
many thanks :) |

It's a great idea, and one that I thought of as long ago as a year ago and hoped (and assumed) that it would arrive one day.
Unfortunately, the site is going to need a little work and/or growth in order to be functional.
I searched for only the images I knew had already been used online (I have found 7 of my images in use using google already) and the site failed to return them. Most of these cases (including the Forbes.com website which used a completely unaltered version of my image and credited me by name a few months ago) occured several months ago and are still available online so it isn't a case of the links being so new.
I'm not bashing the site; again I think it's awesome that this has arrived. I'm just letting people know that it still needs some work so don't think that your images aren't out there just because this site says they aren't. Again in my experience google can be a great way to find your images online.
I have found 7 images using google and 1 image accidentally so far in my stock photo career. Unfortunately, I don't always have a way of knowing if they were from SS or the other 5 sites that host my images. Sometimes it says it at the bottom of a picture and sometimes it doesn't. |

I only found a few of mine, but I doubt I would have found them any other way, it's still in beta so give it time :) |

I tried this but the plugin searches the SS watermark aswell, giving me tens of results based on that alone but the photo itself having nothing to do with mine. |
