I haven't read this whole thread, so if this has been asked and answered, forgive me!

I guess I don't understand. I put in the image URL from my ss gallery, and so far I have only gotten one match - some message forum overseas.

Does the image URL have to be somewhere other than ss?

Anyone know what country and language?

thanks.

It says something about moderation in drinking is great, but when you occasionally indulge too much, yogurt helps with the hangover, and eggs and some kind of bread will help take the poisons out of the body.

Just to recap

The easiest way to find your images is to use the plugin. Then you can simply go through your online gallery or any online picture "Right Click" and select "Search for Image on TinEye" from the menu.... Simple and you don't have to upload anything or paste in URLS.

You need to be running Firefox, then go to http://tineye.com/plugin[/url] and install the plugin

if you don't have firefox already then why not download it via the button here http://www.lazortech.com/get-firefox.html (ref link)

You may not find many but it's a way of finding pics that have not been credited

many thanks :)

Discovered one of my images uploaded to Flickr by somebody having a nick Mad Gringo:
http://www.flickr.com/photos/14459819@N04/2103746833/

And this is my original image on Shutterstock:
http://www.shutterstock.com/pic-1929022-santa-parrot-holding-a-golden-gift-package.html

That is a shocking experience like to find out that somebody's been creeping into your house while you were sleeping. Don't know how exactly handle the situation. Wrote to SS supports so far.

The searching engine is great. I would never be able to find this theft otherwise.

Found out that the owner of the account is a company producing beachware. Sent a mail demanding explanations. Also sent a copyright violation report to Yahoo support.

The image was removed by the Flickr account owner after my email to him. He apologized and explained that the image was legally purchased on Shutterstock, and was uploaded to Flickr by mistake.

The Yahoo and Shuttestock supports were not that quick. I got replies from them just today, after the problem was fixed. Getting Yahoo copyright support is not that simple. They require very precise wording of legal statements in the "Notice of infringement" before they start processing the complaint.

Hum found one of my images also being used for resale on magnets. They have there © across the image. Here is the link. Should I ask them about this?
