Somehow I always thought this was a given. But why would some one, out of the blue, ask such a question? And why me? I haven't been on this thread in a while so they must have gone looking.

The only reason they don't realize it is the same reason they post in threads that clearly aren't requests or that are 12 years old is because they don't take the time to read what the forum or the individual post is about. I call it the "Willy-Nilly, I Float Through Life Totally Inattentive, Oh Look, Pretty Pictures, I'll Post Mine Here, Too" syndrome.
Well, I don't ACTUALLY call it that, but can't you just picture someone grinning, tossing their hair and saying, "Ooooh! Pictures of Giraffes! I've got some, I'll post mine, too!"? |

Oops, I don't have any giraffe pictures *sigh* but I have a nice flower pic, shall I post that and then we see how long it takes until the next flower picture appears? Bets anybody? SY |

Less than ten minutes. In fact, post the picture, then in the text, say "This is NOT a request, I just wanted to post this flower pic" and there'll STILL be 40 followup posts in less than an hour. |
