Well done!
I'm very impressed with my July numbers, not quite a BME, but the DLs are rather remarkable. Over 100 DLs and there's still a couple of days to go. A big improvement over last July for me, at least 500% more DLs and I still had a big gallery then as well. SS's marketing plan is coming together. Jon O and co, you guys are doing well. I'm curious to see what autumn will bring, typically a busy time for editors looking for clips.
Bravo Zulu! (that's a navy compliment, care of navy buddies)

Ken,
You've got a great library. Nice colour! Keep it up, you're edging closer to the 1K club. Sales really start to pick up once you have 1000 clips on board...
The month is not quite done, but my 73 footage DLs was by far the BME, the dollar figure is on the top 5 BMEs. I'm looking forward to next month and especially the fall.
cheers,

Don,

Chad,
Good to hear from you! I was starting to wonder... I'm back to freelancing for a local TV station. They're sure keeping my busy, summer relief and all.
Anyone else notice the last minute flurry of subscription sales? I just had 4 more downloads in the past 1/2 hour. This month has been rather amazing. I'm not counting until end of day but about 80 DLs... so far

Glad to see you're busy Francois!
Been all over the place shooting (for work) recently - been doing a lot of travelling! Got some amazing shots from the jib at a recent shoot - the red bull empire of dirt (basically a bmx track day) - unfortunately not allowed to use any of it for stock though, the production company would probably hang me!
Just had another download - that's another $13.25 in the bag for this month - this place is getting better (as we predicted a year ago!) - gotta find myself some time to get out and shoot... |

July was definitly my BME. 357 total downloads with 30 of that video.
Already had a HD download this morning. Nice way to start August.
Thanks SS for doing what you do.

Don,
yes I was quoting Francois,
646 clips online slowly edging towards the 1000 club, got quite a few on tape ready to process, hard drive is rapidly running out of space, (need to buy an external hard drive!)
I have been spending more time on my images rather than footage lately, it feels really good to process 10 jpegs and upload them with keywords embedded in 10 minutes rather than process 10 footage clips and wait 24 hrs for them to upload.
But at the end of the day it's the footage sales that bring in the most money.
July sales 20 footage, 297 images
Hate it when the 1st of a new month comes and the counter goes back to 0 !!
regards

Ken, 20 footage sales per month with less than 1000 portfolio is really pretty good. Add that to other sales and it'll be time for the new external HDs. I have three internal HD, and four 750 GB external and they are all about full. I also save all the original tapes and back up the RAW m2t/mpeg files to DVD. I've learned before that HD do fail and all can be lost. I once have 250 digital photos all processed and ready to send to a high prices stock company, yup HD failed lost everything. BIG lesson. |

Doh, HD failure must be sickening, I save my original m2t files and then delete the uploaded .mov files to save a bit of space.
Also trying to build up a portfolio on the higher priced RM sites, no sales yet, but still hopeful.

I follow Francois compliment to SS!
12 dlds, full SD, with just 239 clips online (a few sequences). BME, definitely with respect to the dlds, but I think also regarding the payout.
Good luck all,
