I wonder if you could get an old LP record turntable, set it on its lowest speed, and get a decent result.....hmmmmmmm.........

If you look @ that little video I post before you will see and understand that it’s not the same. With a turntable you didn’t have any movement in the background and THAT’S the point! The challenge is NOT the movement in the foreground, the challenge is the background.

Ohps… this is my clip!

Sorry, but I’m not often in this forum, that’s why I’m reply so late on this.

@ tgtg: Your clip works only with no, or small background but you didn’t get the DOF and the rotation of a center.
@ free2swim: Did you have the centre always in the middle and the focus always correct with the DOF in the background? Yes? Respect! ;)

Ok, I use a radial dolly. WHAT??? Ok, maybe this little video helps to understand how the shot was made: http://www.insomnia-dreams.com/RadiarusSetupSmall2.mp4

Have fun to rebuild it! Sidestep: I will NEVER do it again!!! It was a lot of work to build my Radiatus!

That is so cool...where can I get one of those?

You can build it by yourself (like me) or buy the professional Version here: http://www.pstechnik.de/en/skater.php

Yeah, a lot of money for the prof. version. I invest (only) around 350-450 EU to build that dolly but a lot of time and painful work.

Yes, the girl is real and naked! :-D
I hate CG-Stuff with people if it’s not absolute perfect. I shoot this and some more girls on a white background. Not perfect to separate but it works. You can see some more girls in this clip: http://footage.shutterstock.com/video.html?id=148114

I doubt that was with a rotary, you could do that with a pan of a tripod.

What problem? I don't have good hands to rotate tripod.

Most good fluid head tripods let you adjust the resistance of the pan, and you can hold a constant force in the direction you want to turn, and it will turn at a constant speed.
