I prefer the hardware approach.
The *BOOM* is so cool.

The *BOOM* usually produces a lot of noise. And we all are aware that noisy photographs cannot be accepted.

I get that when i try to see pictures from f.e. my portable harddisk on a pc while they were written on it from a mac. It took me awhile to figure out but in this case its the thumbs.db or other .db files that mac writes away automatically (they are 'hidden' on pc) on the HD that causes it.

Chances are odd, but maybe this is causing your problem, if it is, just delete the .db files.

Thanks, but I don't think that was the problem as I don't have a laptop and I don't use a Mac......I could not delete the raw file that I downloaded from my card to the computer.

Linda, I have on occasion had the same problem, and found it neccessary to first close Photoshop, then I have been able to delete files. However, sometimes it was neccessary to reboot, then delete.

Hope you have resolved it by now!
