I see what they went for here! Unfortunately they couldn't get where they were meant to get..

Look at the circles, they are not even symmetrical.. don't you think this is a problem?!

the letters are fine but the circles?!!

I really think this could have been much better.. They should keep the logo but the inner circles really need to be fixed..

mmmmm I hope not to hurt anyone's feelings, but while looking more modern than previous, seems to me that's been done in a hurry: distance between the concentric circles is not even/proportional and I'm not sure about the lettering...

Are you serious or engineers? It is not the fact that I love the new logo, but your arguments make no sense: how could one speak of symmetry and even distances when it comes to art / design?

To me, the green logo is like one of those optical illusions that change direction each time you look at them. I can't decide whether it's a lens hood pointing to the left or a zoom lens pointing to the right. The kerning on the letters is, ummm, imaginative?

I liked the old version - I suppose the new one will grow on us eventually...

It's cheap. It's weak. It has no substance. As a designer, I'm insulted that I have to look at it every time I visit the Shutterstock page.

That's simply a rough analysis and not a complaint and I'll tell you why: bad design keeps me in business because clients love to pay me to fix the poor crap other agencies create.

Why did you quote half of my statement?

The intention was to end up symmetrical, but the result is not, that is very obvious..

At least to me!! You either want to look sweet to SS people by not being honest or have no eye for good design..

Noticed the new logo straight away and think its a move in the wrong direction! The old one was much better and it was obvious what the site was about. I don't like the font of the new logo either :( Its just, well, wrong.

I prefer the old logo. I can't put my finger on as to what the concentric loops actually represent...maybe shutter leaves???

Well, to be absolutely honest I hate everything about the new logo, including the lettering.

On another note, I think changing business logos is a far too risky business. Clients were much accustomed to the old logo...

One thing's for certain though...I simply do not look forward to the new logo watermarking my images :)

I'm so glad somebody finally mentioned this. That screen makes me cringe every time I login. It's like "Welcome to the 1980's Clipart Shutterstock Login screen. Please login."

I noticed it right away and thought, "what the heck is that!?!?"

The old logo was classy and graphic. Is this what they are going to plaster on our images as a watermark now?

I just checked, yes it is. Compare one of your older images to a newer one. The older logo is MUCH BETTER imho.
