Ok guys - we need help now :)

lets say you have a square image - and want to round the corners nicely.... is there a template to be used? is there a plugin?

or do you just have to do it manually?

It can be done very easily. Just select the rounded rectangle tool (U) (select the desired radius), make sure that paths are selected, select the whole image, right click inside the path and make selection, inverse selection and delete. Thats for photoshop I am almost sure that GIMP has a tool that does that automatically "script fu"-> decor -> round edges

in PS7+ you can use a shape tool...rounded rectangle

draw one over the image in a new layer then select the rectangle you just drew...go to select/inverse

then go to select and save the selection

kill the new layer

load new selection

hit delete should kill corners and make em nice and around

long way, but if you do it enough like me it only takes about 30 seconds if that much.

That's the tool I am talking about in my previous post. If you have paths selected you can convert the path(shape) to a selection without having to create a new layer, just right click on it and select the "make selection" option.
