dear designers and buyers of pictures, help new photographers the purchases, buying pictures for them, you give them a stimulus for good job. buying pictures for new photographers you help them to get a stimulus for new pictures. When photographer of does not have sales he does not want to work, the stimulus of purchases is developed by creative potential. Help a new photographer to find the creative potential, purchase for him though one photo. |

I am also a newbie here and I think you are right. Newbies are not easy to attract designers. They often go to the familiar photographers.
But designers and buyers only want to choose what they want. Like if you go to the shop, you will only buy the good quality staff instead of some products from developing countries with bad quality, with the same price.
In that way it is more like charity instead of shopping. So I think the only way is to work hard and make the potofolio nicer.

The buyers and designers are in business and this is a business, and it is true that those photographers who earn a good reputation will sell better than others.
There are many instances of new people here who do very well so it is all about producing good quality images and uploading regularly.
The newest image search is widely used here so just keep uploading good quality images and your sales will improve.

when a stimulus is not then there are not new creative individual works, all of images copy for each other, it is not correct. a photographer must be a creative man, and when he from a morning sees though one sale he begins to reflect above good new pictures. |

I'm guessing english is not your first language?
I'm with the others. This isn't a charity. If you can't make the files that the designer wants then get out. As a designer I wouldn't download an image I didn't think I could use, and I'm certainly not going to download anything that lacks quality.
As a new contributer I don't want someone downloading my work because they feel sorry for me or to invest in me. I want them to download it because they like it and it's a solution to a design problem they have. The money is a nice bonus. |

SS pushes newbies in front of the search at least they did with my pictures .The first week I had many sales after this period the sales goes down to the normal search level.
I don't know if this is still the case but if SS stimulate newbies enough and the rest is up to you by uploading good quality stuff that sells. |

Hi, I'm very new here too - joined 5 days ago. I have 11 photos and 10 downloads since then (only 5 of the 11 photos account for all downloads). Obviously, I like my images, but I don't think they are overly spectacular or anything... But the download rate is quite enouraging. Is this normal? What would you say is the average download rate for a photo? I'm talking order of magnitude here - 1/day, 1/week, 1/month, 1/year... And, yes, I know it depends on the photo. :) But some ballpark average can surely be derived.

I think that new images are in demand at the beginning, because every buyer wishes new pictures, think who will begin to publish one and also photo once or twice, therefore when we load new photos have demand and then these pictures dissolve in millions of other photos! |
