can't seem to see this question answered, for your final thread with answers.

I am Canadian, and images sales at least are 0% tax.
do i still have to fill in the forms ?

(some people are stating large amounts for notarization. In north america, you can get a notary to sign the document for less than $25, i believe. its only to prove that you are the correct person filling in the governmental form)

i am also not claiming any income from SS, because i am not making that much and its a hobby. if i do have to fill in the forms, does it mean that i now have to CLAIM MY INCOME to the canadian revenue agency ?

thanks

Yes you have to apply for an ITIN and then file W-8BEN that will be online probably on your submitter's page soon.

What a mess with this tax stuff.

If you don't prove it then you pay 30%

Was there an email?

The only reason I noticed was on the main page the 'IRS' post, which always seems to get my attention no matter where I see those 3 letters.

I got an email but I don't understand why is it that just a part of the foreign contributors got one...
Is it that you have to exceed $600 per year to be eligible, or something like that...?

Those of us in the US didn't have to submit our IRS paperwork until we exceeded $600 per year, so it would make sense that SS would follow the same procedure with non-US folks. I submitted my W-9 right away, but later when I hit $600 they sent me an automatic reminder notice.

Mike, you're a funny guy but this is a very serious topic to a lot of us and your pimping and what it represents to a lot of us is in extremely 'bad taste'

I want to say a couple of words to you right now but I wont as

1. I actually think you're a really great guy.
2. I'm very upset about this whole tax thing and
3. I don't want to get banned (I'd rather leave of my own accord)

Good day to you sir.

Tony
