Anyway, I have received no emails as of yet about this issue.

You might not need ANY letter if SS will accept W8BEN form without ITIN, similarly to Veer.
So let's wait until further notice from SS. |

Guys its now 'late next week' and still no word on the tax centre. Any chance of an update how far we are with this as I'm in complete limbo as to what the hell it is I should actually be doing now?
I'm from a 0% treaty country this I know but am still waiting for confirmation from you guys as to what it is I actually need to set the progress in motion.
You say on one hand 'start getting the needed paperwork ready for the IRS' but on the other you say
'wait till we have more information and don't sent anything'
What's it to be?
I've been very patient and have kept very quite but the silence coming from you guys is quite deafening and the deadline is fast approaching.
So can we please have an update with a 'realistic' timeframe for when the tax centre will be up and running.
Thanks for your time

*sigh*
Where I come from the use of the word 'hell' is not seen as such a bad thing but let me rephrase that particular part of my post so as not to offend anyone or give the misconseption that I'm having a rant.

Better?
Now the previous post of mine is serious and I among others would like to hear an answer from an official source and not some 'wise-cracking' other.
Thank you

First I was kidding, but now I really think you should relax a bit. Why are you immediately so hostile ?
It's clear and simple .. once they will have something new (the tax center, or some new info on the legal issues) they will let everyone know. Asking the "are we there yet ?" question doesn't make the travel shorter. Ask any parent ;)
Unless you think Shutterstock is withholding some important information the most reasonable thing to do is to wait ... and relax. |

I am very much enjoying the relaxing and the not certifying and the not form filling.
The frustration at the delays is understandable though.
Off to the beach. Will be eating hibiscus and putting coconuts in my hair.

I understand the frustration, but I don't get the anger. I suppose different people react in different ways to a stressful situation.
Hibiscus and coconuts sound nice by the way :)

Tony didnt seem angry to me.
I think it's because his avatar is punky, and the rules of punkydom are to sneer and snarl and stomp big boots, so it can be easy to think he's gonna mug us : ( BUT! What gives the game away is that it's a cute punky avatar and not the steel-capped-boots, safety pin through the god-knows-where, FAQ the queen kind.
Another clue (i feel like sherlock Holmes!) is that his language was formal, and he didnt threaten small animals at all.
Verdict! - harmless... give him a nice cuppa. and a hug.
And y'know... once upon a time, we were told to snap-to, and quickly, and we all went off in a tizzy and had to engage with the things that destroy the beauty of life (accountants, lawyers and whatnot). And then....
hello?.... um?.... yes? .... Oh! Sorry-, I thought you... ah, you didn't... does anyone-?....er, hello?... what? Who are you?... I dunno, who are you?
Dont know about anyone else, but i had a bad dream where the IRS, who were actually the FBI who were actually Indian Accountants, were chasing me down and poking me with pens. And sucking money out my nose through a straw. But the money was the size of snooker balls! terrible thing.
Maybe if we all never mention it again, it will all just go away...? People say that's not a 'proper' solution, but i see it in practice ALL the time and it seems to work ok.

@Nder - I was neither angry or frustrating but rather just getting a tad impatient at the lack of information being given to us on this.
@Lucy - Thanks you really cheered me up with your interpretation of my avatar and thus me. We need more people like you in the forums.
Peace and happiness to all (except the IRS)
:-D

There will be no withholding for the June payout that is being prepared now and we'll be making an announcement on our solution soon. |
