Wow .. now they have 7000+ over images .. I guess they must be the highest earner just by their sheer volume |

There's a lot though taht are subtle variations... Like the yoga;- If I was designing a yoga website I would only take them all if I wanted a position index. Otherwise, i'd probabl just take 1 or two... so you just never know.
Personally I think I'm the highest earner on shutterstock ;-) (I've sold 8 this month) perhaps not. |

How many downloads do you think that portfolio averages in a day? What is the total number of photos downloaded everyday from SS? |

That one has been a good thread before - if you look it up, you'll see the guesses are as wild and varied as the proverbial piece of string...
If you take an 'average' user, and allow them 0.03 sales per day per image in their gallery (I'm basing that on my own average last month, 14 images per day based on 450 odd images) then the 165,000 images online here would give you 4950 downloads per day... roughly $1040 in payments per day, too... that would also mean if every subscriber was almost downloading their 25 per day, there are 200 subscribers... I don't think every subscriber does get 25 images per day, or Jon wouldn't keep the place open, because it'd end up running at a loss, so let's say they're 60% efficient at downloading, and only get 15 per day on average - now you have 330 subscribers, and an average months sales now makes $50,000 in subscriber fees, and 'costs' $30,000 in payouts to the submitters - whilst I don't figure that's an accurate prediction, because there are way too many variables, I'll leave that as my 'guess'... :-)
