I am confused why this photo was rejected for copyright or trademark issues. Here is the reason: Trademark--Contains potential trademark or copyright infringement--not editorial.
Is it the name Carnegie? I would think that would be historical.
FYI: it was also rejected for poor lighting. My main concern is understanding the first reason.

The photo is very small on my screen. I should have told you it says, "Carnegie Library" over the door.

The Carnegie Library would most likely need a property release. Something being historical does not necessarily mean it is not protected by trademark. You may want to check with the library to see if they will sign a property release however places such as this often have policies of no unauthorized photographs being used. |

I agree, you need a release, but the photo could have value as editorial.
