Why was my video rejected for Clip Length?

Clips should be be between 5 and 60 seconds unless loopable or a complete transition.

If your video was rejected with “Video is either too short or too long. Video clips should generally be no shorter than 5 seconds and no longer than 1 minute.,” it is because of one of the following issues:

Video duration

  • The video clip is either too short or too long

  • Video clips should generally be no shorter than 5 seconds and no longer than 1 minute in length

  • Clips with a length shorter than 5 seconds are acceptable if they are loopable or a complete transition

Here are some examples of video clips with acceptable lengths:

This timelapse of a team brainstorming meeting is about 19 seconds long. Clip by Alia Images

This clip is loopable thus acceptable at a length shorter than 5 seconds. Clip by VJ Yarkus

This clip is one of three edited parts, capturing a storm system over time. Clip by AuraReels

This transition is complete, thus acceptable at a length shorter than 5 seconds. Clip by domnikita

We Recommend

  • Edit your video clips to meet the suggested length parameters (generally no shorter than 5 seconds and no longer than 1 minute)

  • If you want to capture a long action, consider shooting or editing the footage into shorter segments or a montage

  • Consider shooting timelapse or hyperlapse video

  • Describe the reason for an unusual clip length in the description. For example, if a short clip is designed to be loopable or used as a transition
