Content Quality Standards: EPS Format

We only accept EPS files compatible with version 8 or 10 of Adobe Illustrator.

If your content was rejected with “Content does not meet our minimum quality standards," it may be because you submitted an EPS file that was not saved to be compatible with version 8 or 10 of Adobe Illustrator. Shutterstock only accepts files that are compatible with these two versions of Illustrator because these legacy versions are the most compatible for use by our customers in any version of Illustrator or any other vector editing software such as CorelDraw or Inkscape.

Here is an example of how to make an EPS file compatible with Illustrator 8 or 10 when using Adobe Illustrator CS6:

Step #1: Open your vector illustration in Adobe Illustrator.

Step #2: In the menu bar, select Save As.
