We have updated our Subscriber Terms of Service (TOS) and made changes to the various permitted and restricted uses for our standard and enhanced licenses. Please take this opportunity to review the new terms. By reading the explanation below, you can easily determine which TOS govern the use of content submitted by you.

If a subscriber's account was active prior to 5 May 2011, the subscriber's use of content submitted by you will be controlled by the Subscriber TOS in effect at the time of the subscription purchase. If a subscriber renewed or will in the future renew their account, or if the subscriber's account is automatically renewed via our Auto-Rebilling program, then the TOS in effect on the day of the subscriber's most recent payment to Shutterstock will be the TOS that govern the use of images downloaded during that entire subscription period. The use of submitted content downloaded during a billing cycle that commences after 5 May 2011 will be controlled by the new TOS.

Generally speaking, the date on which submitted content is uploaded to Shutterstock does not affect which TOS control the use of such content.
