If by the end of the calendar month, your earnings reach the minimum payout amount set in your Account Settings, then your Unpaid Earnings will be reset and within a few days you will receive an email from Shutterstock notifying that your payment will soon be processed.
Even though a new payment cycle begins on the 1st of each calendar month, we need a few days to run a few quality control checks to ensure our calculations are accurate. During that time, your unpaid earnings will reflect all of your accrued earning, including those you made in the first few days of the new payment cycle. You can learn more about how our payment process works here: How do I get paid for my work?
If your Paypal or Skrill account address was correctly indicated in your Account Settings, but not fully activated with the service provider at the time that your payment was calculated, you should still be able to receive your earnings successfully as long as you activate it as soon as you receive notification of payment from Shutterstock. Even though payments are calculated on the first of each month, electronic transfers are made between the 7th and the 15th of each month. As long as you activate your Paypal or Skrill account before the money is sent on the 7th, the electronic transfer should be successful.
If your Payoneer, Paypal or Skrill account is not active and able to receive payments at the time that your earnings are transferred, or if you had the wrong information indicated in your Account Settings, the money will not return to your Shutterstock account. You can update your payment settings with the correct information and we will automatically reissue your missed payment in the following payment cycle.
If you believe your payment settings to be correct, but you are not receiving your payment, please contact contributor care for additional assistance and so we may reissue your payment.
