We Recommend
Meticulously clean the scanner bed before each scan
Always place the artwork completely flat on the scanner bed, squaring the edges
Gently but thoroughly spray negatives and slides with canned air before scanning
To remove smudges, fingerprints, or mold from negatives or slides, use a gentle cloth and non-abrasive cleaner such as isopropyl alcohol
Always check before cleaning film, slides or illustrations that the products being used will not damage the film emulsion, canvas, or surface of the artwork
Crop the scanned artwork to the edge of the photo frame or flush with the canvas
Wear white, lintless gloves when handling artwork of all mediums to avoid leaving fingerprints, smudges, dirt, or damaging oils from hands
Store film, negatives, and artwork in cool, dry places a minimum of 6 in (15.25 cm) off the ground
Always store artwork in acid-free, archival-quality containers and sleeves
