If your content has been approved but you don’t see it in your portfolio yet, here are the most common reasons:
1. Processing time for new approvals
Once your work has been approved, it usually takes up to 72 hours for it to be fully integrated into the Shutterstock site.
After processing, you will see your approved images appear in:
Your Images Portfolio folder
The Recently Reviewed folder on your dashboard
2. Recently reviewed folder details
Items in the Recently Reviewed folder will automatically disappear after 21 days.
Don’t worry — this does not remove them from sale. Your approved content remains available in your portfolio and to customers after it leaves this folder.
3. Data Licensing approvals
Some content may be approved under Data Licensing instead of the main Shutterstock marketplace:
Images approved for data licensing were not accepted for the main catalogue due to quality grounds, but they are placed in the Data Catalog.
You can view your Data Catalog here:
Data CatalogWork in the Data Catalog may be used in datasets for AI training.
Payments for data licensing usage are made every 6 months.
Content that has been fully approved for the marketplace may also be used in data licensing.
If you do not wish to participate in datasets, you can disable this option in your account settings.
