If you are experiencing issues setting up your payment method for Shutterstock Contributor earnings, here’s everything you need to know.
1. Supported payment methods
Shutterstock does not support wire transfer, bank transfer, or checks.
You must choose one of these three payout options:
PayPal
Skrill
Payoneer
Check each provider’s website to confirm which operates in your country and offers the best rates.
2. Setting up PayPal or Skrill
Simply enter the email address associated with your PayPal or Skrill account in the provided field.
If the system does not accept your PayPal or Skrill account:
Ensure at least 72 hours have passed since you created the account.
Wait another 24 hours and try again.
Clear your browser cache and cookies, and if possible, try another browser.
Always double-check that the email address entered is correct.
3. Setting up Payoneer
Payoneer setup requires additional steps:
You can create a new Payoneer account directly from the payment settings page.
To connect to an existing Payoneer account, follow this guide:

If the connection button fails, confirm your username and password are correct.
Log in directly to your Payoneer account to complete/confirm the setup.
If issues persist, contact the Payoneer support team directly:
Payoneer Contact PageIn some cases, failed connections may be due to a temporary system issue. Wait 24 hours, clear your browser temporary files, restart your browser, and try again.
4. If payments are still not coming through
Go to Earnings → Tax Form in your Contributor account.
Confirm that your tax form is completed and up to date. Payments cannot be processed if your tax form is missing or outdated.
