If you’re waiting for your Shutterstock Contributor verification email and haven’t received it yet, here are the most common causes and solutions.
1. Verification email delays
At the moment, some contributors are experiencing delays in receiving verification emails.
Emails may take up to 24 hours to arrive.
Please be assured that the link will arrive, even if it takes longer than usual.
2. Check your email folders and sender addresses
Look in spam, junk, and trash folders.
The message may come from email@service.shutterstockmail.com or messages.email@service.shutterstockmail.com - both are legitimate Shutterstock addresses.
If you requested multiple verification emails, only the most recent link is active; older links will expire.
3. Resend the verification email (do this once)
On your Contributor account page, re-enter your email and click Send Verification once.
Delete older verification emails (inbox and junk) to avoid clicking an expired link.
If nothing arrives after 24 hours, try again, or try a different email address in case your current provider is filtering messages.
4. If you mistyped your email during sign-up
Log out and create a new Contributor account using the correct email address.
5. Mobile app users
If you registered through the Shutterstock Contributor mobile app, you must leave the app to verify your email. Once you complete verification, you will be redirected back to the app automatically.
