What should I do if I have problems registering a Contributor account?

Sometimes issues can occur when trying to register a new Shutterstock Contributor account, especially if your email address has already been used. Here’s how to resolve them.

1. “Email already exists” error

  • If you see this error, it usually means you may have tried to open an account before.

  • Go to the login screen, enter your email address, and click Reset Password.

2. Reset password email

  • Only click Reset Password once, then wait for the email to arrive.

  • The email may take up to 12 hours to arrive during busy periods.

  • Always check your spam and junk mail folders for the message.

  • If the email doesn’t arrive after several hours, go back to the sign-in screen and request it again.

3. If you still can’t register

  • Try using a different browser or clear your cache and cookies, then restart your browser.

  • Make sure that cookies are enabled.

  • If you still can’t get the verification email, try registering with a different email address.
